WordPress, the content management system or CMS that is popular with bloggers and web designers, gets the most recent update in Version 3.6 codename “Oscar” after the popular Jazz pianist Oscar Peterson. The latest version was released on August 1, 2013 on the website www.wordpress.org.
On top of the usual security enhancements and bug fixes, the latest version also includes “a beautiful new blog-centric theme, bullet-proof autosave and post locking, a revamped revision browser, native support for audio and video embeds, and improved integrations with Spotify, Rdio, and SoundCloud”. The new default theme is responsive and automatically adjusts to different screen sizes from desktops to mobile devices.
More support for HTML5 is also added that simplifies further rich media blogs and websites.
