Auza.Net OJTs Help Complete Web Site Project for PROCESS-Bohol, Inc.

The Auza.Net on-the-job trainees (OJT) help complete the website project for PROCESS-Bohol, Inc., a local non-government organization.  The OJTs assisted the Auza.Net technical team who delivered the final presentation to the PROCESS-Bohol management.  The website URL is www.processbohol.org.   Participatory Research, Organization of Communities and Education towards Struggle for Self-reliance (PROCESS-Bohol) is a non-stock, non profit organization established with the aim of creatively animating the formation of strong and autonomous people’s organization and building up their capabilities for participatory and self-reliant development. Bohol Businesses and Users Start Using Bohol.Info

After the start of the Bohol.Info data collection on April 18, 2013 at the Island City Mall, the usage of Bohol.Info website www.bohol.info both in unique users and number of pageviews increased significantly.  The unique users per day increased from less than 50 per day to 155 while the pageviews increased from around 500 to 1500 per day.   The data collection activity will continue until June 16, 2013 so micro, small and medium business have ample time to have their businesses listed and experience having their own webpage on Bohol.Info.  The website now has close to 5000 listings from various categories.   For those who want to advertise and get their businesses highlighted on the website, it is possible to pay for a 30-day period of being one of the listings highlighted per category.  When a listing is highlighted, it is shown above the list of businesses for that category.   Standing at the back (from left): Jan Lerin, Flor Mae Ugat, Mariane Ashley Uy, (Auza.Net) Jovie Cabais, Jodel John Rey Paz, Eugene Torregosa Sitting in front (from left) : Ma. Auza.Net is kicking off data collection for its latest website project www.bohol.info on April 18, 2013 at the Island City Mall, Tagbilaran City.  The website is a business directory that gives micro and small businesses the opportunity to have an online presence via a web page on www.bohol.info for free.  If needed, a webpage may be claimed by the business owner so that he can update the page as needed when promotions change. The data collection is a two month event where business owners will have the opportunity to have their businesses listed or updated and also learn more about www.bohol.info.  The website currently has about four thousand entries already and is actively used by the early adopters Auza.Net has invited in the past few months. Bohol.Info is unique among the other online business directories focusing on Bohol because aside from the usual online marketing efforts, Auza.Net will also promote Bohol.Info via traditional means like newspapers, radio, mall events and banners in strategic areas around the province.  The “offline” promotions will commence by May 2013. Auza.Net Summer OJT Program for 2013 in Full Swing

The Auza.Net Summer OJT Program for 2013 is now in full swing with a total of 11 trainees from various schools in Bohol. The program started on April 8, 2013 at the Auza.Net training room at the K of C Recreation Center, Tagbilaran City. The trainees are currently undergoing briefing and preparations for the Bohol.Info data capture activity at the Island City Mall which will start on April 18, 2013. Training on WordPress, website development and management, wired and wireless network setup, and other related IT topics will be conducted later in the program. The trainees from Holy Name University are Mariane Ashley Uy, and John Kyle Rodriguez; from University of Bohol are Glaiza Pepito, Liezl Betonio, Jodel John Rey Paz, Jan Rey Lerin, and Wilfred Vincent Cagadas; from STI College Tagbilaran is Eugene Torregosa; and from Bohol Island State University are Mary Jeanne Tirando, Ma.
