The company’s capability to develop apps on the iOS platform was made possible by the Department of Science and Technology funding assistance through the DOST-SETUP. The mobile app will be formally launched during the Sandugo Trade Fair at the Island City Mall on July 23-27, 2014. From the app, the user can dial the contact number of the business, go to its website, find its address and location in a map even if the user is not connected to the Internet. DYRD-AM Worldwide Turns 7

The DYRD-AM Worldwide broadcast, via its website www.dyrdam.com, is already on it’s seventh year. The partnership between Auza.Net and Bohol Chronicle Radio Corporation continues to serve Boholanos around the world with live audio streaming and recorded broadcast of its regular programs. On July 8, 2007, the two companies launched the worldwide broadcast in a ceremony attended by local politicians and the business community. The late Governor Erico B. Aumentado said in his message during the launching that the political atmosphere in the province will never be the same again because the local news will reach the Boholanos around the world immediately. From a simple live broadcast only service, DYRD-AM Worldwide gradually added features to the website. Many years back, the recorded broadcast was added to allow listeners from different time zones to listen to any program at their leisure. Then a server upgrade improved the broadcast into studio-quality audio. A later server upgrade made it possible to have hundreds of simultaneous listeners. On the 5th anniversary, Auza.Net added the Android Mobile App to allow convenient listening of the broadcast from Android devices. The app may be downloaded from Google Play. This year, Auza.Net released the iOS version of the DYRD-AM Mobile App which is available on the App Store. Jerome Auza, Technology Consultant of Auza.Net, and Mr. Peter Dejaresco, Manager of the Bohol Chronicle Radio Corporation, remain committed to continue serving the Boholano community through the worldwide broadcast of Bohol’s favorite radio station DYRD-AM. The two companies also launched the digital archive of the front pages of the Bohol Chronicle on the 60th anniversary of the pioneering newspaper company...
